Privacy, cookies and site policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026.

MayChemist is a pharmacy broker for consumers. We run the website, the catalogue, the medicine guides and the ordering process. Licensed pharmacy partners take care of dispensing, pharmacy checks and delivery. What they process for your order falls under their privacy terms, and any outside payment provider’s terms apply too.

Privacy at a glance

  • No account is needed to browse.
  • Your cart lives in your own browser.
  • Personal information is never sold or rented.
  • We use no advertising pixels, no remarketing tags and no affiliate tracking cookies.
  • A small amount of analytics tells us which pages are useful, how the site performs and where it is awkward to use.
  • Microsoft Clarity loads with analytics and advertising storage denied.
  • Cloudflare provides hosting, performance, security and protection from abuse.
  • Pharmacy partners fulfil orders, and to do that they may need details about the order, the delivery or the payment.
  • We hold no customer or order records ourselves. Pharmacy partners keep only what an order needs, plus recent order details so they can recognise a returning customer.
  • What we publish about medicines is general information. It is not medical advice.

Browsing without an account

You can read the catalogue, the medicine guides and the categories without signing up for anything.

Health is a private subject, and even a routine visit can hint at something personal. That is why tracking stays limited and advertising trackers are left out.

Your cart, your display choice and your currency preference sit in your browser. That is what lets the site behave properly as you move from one page to another.

When you order

Once you reach checkout, the pharmacy partner handling payment, dispensing, pharmacy checks, delivery and fulfilment may receive the details your order needs.

Depending on the medicine, where it is going and which partner is involved, that can cover:

  • the product you picked
  • strength and pack size
  • your name and contact details
  • delivery address
  • payment method
  • order status
  • delivery status
  • support messages
  • cancellation, reshipment or refund requests
  • destination-country checks or import information

Pharmacy partners, payment gateways, courier companies or support teams may process details about the order, the payment, the delivery and the fulfilment as needed to complete it.

Dispensing, pharmacy checks, payment and delivery fall under that partner’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not decide whether a medicine is clinically right for you.

Discreet packaging comes as standard. It does not turn an order into an anonymous one: the pharmacy partner, the payment provider and the delivery service still need information to process, pack and deliver it. A delivery-insurance claim may need parcel details and the related support messages.

For order support, delivery claims, cancellations or payment questions, use the secure customer portal or live chat rather than email. Email suits catalogue corrections, site problems, removal requests, business enquiries and anything else that is not about an order.

Who keeps what

The MayChemist platform keeps no order or customer records. Your cart and preferences remain in your browser, and checkout details pass to the pharmacy partner handling the order.

Pharmacy partners keep only the information an order needs. They also hold a few recent order details, which let them follow the order and know you as a returning customer. That is how the repeat-order discount gets applied and, if you want them, how reminders get sent.

If you want to know what a pharmacy partner keeps about you, or you want it corrected or deleted, get in touch through live chat or the customer portal.

Cookies and browser storage

We keep cookies and browser storage to a minimum. There are three main kinds.

Essential site storage

Essential storage keeps the website working. It may cover:

  • your cart
  • chosen currency
  • light or dark display preference
  • basic session or security values
  • cookie or analytics preference, where applicable

This storage is first-party, and it provides the features you asked for.

Microsoft Clarity analytics

Microsoft Clarity shows us how people use the site, which pages help them and where the interface gets confusing.

Clarity may collect:

  • page views
  • clicks and scroll behaviour
  • browser and device type
  • approximate location derived from network data
  • referring page
  • site performance
  • anonymised or pseudonymous interaction data

We do not use Clarity for advertising, for remarketing or to profile users.

When Clarity loads, analytics and advertising storage begin as denied. That limits cookie-based functionality. Usage information may still be processed. A connected consent control can enable analytics storage. We do not use Clarity for advertising.

Browser settings or privacy tools can also limit or block cookies.

Microsoft’s own privacy information is here: Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Cloudflare

Cloudflare provides hosting, performance, security and protection from abuse. It may handle technical data that keeps the site running and protected, such as:

  • IP address
  • browser and device information
  • requested page
  • time of request
  • security events
  • firewall or bot-protection signals
  • performance and reliability data

Cloudflare may also set cookies that are strictly necessary, or similar security values, to prevent fraud, block bots, limit rates or show challenge pages.

Cloudflare’s analytics and performance tools serve security, reliability and overall site measurement. They are not for advertising.

Cloudflare’s privacy information is here: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

What we do not use

MayChemist does not use:

  • Google Analytics
  • Meta Pixel
  • TikTok Pixel
  • Google Ads remarketing tags
  • affiliate tracking cookies
  • cross-site advertising profiles built by MayChemist
  • user accounts for ordinary browsing

If that changes, this policy will be updated before those tools are switched on.

Server logs and security

Hosting and security providers may keep standard server logs to support reliability, prevent abuse and protect the site.

Server logs may include:

  • IP address
  • browser and device information
  • requested page
  • time of request
  • error messages
  • security events

The logs help keep the site up, stable and safe. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

Contact messages

When you get in touch, your message and contact details are used only to answer you, deal with your request, check a correction or look into a site problem.

Please do not use email or live chat for urgent medical questions. We are not an emergency service.

Medicine information and sources

We publish information about medicines and comparisons between brands and generics.

We draw the content from sources anyone can check, such as:

  • manufacturer product information
  • official regulator pages
  • recognised medicine references
  • active-ingredient naming systems, for example WHO INN
  • health authority sources for a particular country, where relevant

A medicine’s name, its registration status, strength, price, pack size and availability can shift from one country to another and over time. For anything important, check the official source, a doctor or a pharmacist.

More detail is in How We Research.

Not medical advice

MayChemist provides general information only.

Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription or a treatment plan, and nothing replaces a qualified doctor or pharmacist. Talk to a professional before you begin, stop or switch any medicine, particularly if you:

  • use other medicines
  • have an allergy
  • are expecting a baby or breastfeeding
  • live with a long-term condition
  • are ordering for a child
  • are unsure which strength or dose is right
  • have symptoms that are serious or getting worse

Corrections

Medicine information changes. If you spot something outdated, unclear or wrong, tell us through the Contacts page.

We look at each correction report and change pages when needed.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change if the website, our analytics setup, the fulfilment process or legal requirements change.
